I am very excited about this... I just found a replacement CD cartridge that works for Discovery II, 2003-2004 Range Rover, 2002-2003 Freelander HSEs, and some P38A Range Rovers. Instead of the $$$$ that the dealer wants (and yes, they are even expensive when you pay cost), I found a 2-pack at Circuit City for $18.96. The part number I got is KAE216C. They are manufactured by Alpine. The set I got are see-through with red and yellow backs. I don't know if there are other colors available. I just thought you would all like to know!!!

Just wondering, why did you need a replacement? my d2 has an odd problem of jamming on CD 4, just seeing if you had the same problem and this was a cheap fix :D

I haven't ever seen those. And, as we had 2 '96 Discos and currently have a '95 Range Rover, all of which use that cartridge, I have looked & would also like one!
However, for the few of you that have a '95 P38A RR, they also had a 3-pack of CD cartridges on sale at Circuit City that looked awfully similar to the factory version. I don't have one of those, so I didn't get to see if they were identical.

I wish I knew that you were looking Alyssa, I've been buying there at CC for 4 years for that price. We have about 8 of them now. LOL

Remember though that on the '95 RRC the discs have to go in upside down! LOL

The D1 uses Pioneer cartridges... I think I have three of 'em in my garage somewhere.

I know where one is for sure- it's sitting on top of my air compressor, just moved it last night and wondered what the heck it's good for since I sold the changer in the truck.
It's yours... email me your address. mgbgtracer at aol.com
