Conrod bolts!

I followed the procedure on torquing the connecting rod bolts 15Ft lbs and then go another 80?. Out of curiosity I put the torque wrench on to see what the final torque value is and it seems to be in excess of 50ft lbs - does this sound about right? Anyone have experience with this?

ps- I'm reusing the bolts.

Don't reuse those bolts!

If you ever see a spec that states to torque to a value and then continue for another specific angle you have torque-to-yield bolts.

You need to get new bolts.
