galen216 said:I'm surprised at you for this Garrett, Tech and PSU could be sister schools. Both are land grant farmer schools and both have a loyal fan base.
Tech was the only school I looked at besides PSU.
garrett said:Who's ranked #5 in football right now? Uh huh. Sven said you're a wuss too. You best be at a game at Beaver Stadium this fall.
galen216 said:PSU v Minnesota on Saturday and Yonder Mountain String Band on Sunday. uh huh, can't wait.
I'm not saying I pick VT over PSU, just saying we are similar schools at our cores. I will always love PSU.
garrett said:Come on you can't compare the athletic programs or even their arts & architecture departments/school (which I did and was almost beaten with a stick). Their architecture & LA programs were at the time miserable in comparison to Penn State at the time I went and were for a while thereafter.
Of course I got a good deal at Penn State, but the mix of classes I took (arch, LA, planning) were all within nationally recognized accredited programs. VT at the time was having a hard time keeping their accredidation from ASLA and AIA.
