I might be more into college football if my alma mata could have a decent season. Yes, I'm a "fair weather" fan. Love my school. But, I have trouble watching my team get pounded every season.

Who's your school?

My wife is estatic after the victory over Oklahoma as she is a BYU grad. Go Mountain West conference!! Myself, I am a diehard Cornhusker. We have to go play Va Tech is a couple of weeks. We will see if Nebraska has anything in the tank and see if Tech will bounce back after Bama. Fall is my favorite time of the year as the weather starts to cool off and FOOTBALL starts. This is a college football thread but I have to say I am on my knees like most of us in Colorado as we hope our beloved Denver Broncos show some semblance of fielding a competitive team. Many of us see them imploding early on. Once again----Go Huskers! Go BYU Cougers!

What great representation of my state:rolleyes: No love loss with me as I'm a OSU grad/fan

As an OSU fan, you would probably enjoy seeing your northern rival Washington get beaten by USC this coming Saturday, no?

WAZZU's turn is 9/26...

GO Trojans!

Tech. The Wal Mart of college students.

I'm surprised at you for this Garrett, Tech and PSU could be sister schools. Both are land grant farmer schools and both have a loyal fan base.

Tech was the only school I looked at besides PSU.

Galen you disappoint me and sadden me to the core of my being. Come on you can't compare the athletic programs or even their arts & architecture departments/school (which I did and was almost beaten with a stick). Their architecture & LA programs were at the time miserable in comparison to Penn State at the time I went and were for a while thereafter.

Of course I got a good deal at Penn State, but the mix of classes I took (arch, LA, planning) were all within nationally recognized accredited programs. VT at the time was having a hard time keeping their accredidation from ASLA and AIA.

I know this because my father visited Blacksburg as he was asked to consider a Dean position (College of Architecture & Urban Studies) before he took the position at Penn State.

I will agree that Penn State and VT come close in regards to the number of douchbags running around on campus these days. I sound like some old fart, but it's depressing to see. How are these bozo kids averaging 3.6 to 3.9 GPAs in high school to get into these schools? Does VT have grilled stickies or Zeno's (ranked one of the top 20 bars in the US)?

Now UVA.......that's another story. I want pics now.

Who's ranked #5 in football right now? Uh huh. Sven said you're a wuss too. You best be at a game at Beaver Stadium this fall.

PS: VT got jipped on the land grant. 2,900 acres compared to Penn State's campus of over 15,000 acres.

PSU v Minnesota on Saturday and Yonder Mountain String Band on Sunday. uh huh, can't wait.

I'm not saying I pick VT over PSU, just saying we are similar schools at our cores. I will always love PSU.

I love USC losing. Unfortunately this is tempered by the fact that my wife is a BYU fan and I am a Nebraska fan and we both got chopped off at the knees yesterday with a very dull, virulent knife.

The BCS is a piece of shit! Those over rated burnt orange swine are in no way the #2 team.

I hope the Tide shut those losers out and the clown Cart McCry boo hoos all the way back to Austin. Enjoy NOT winning the Heisman or the last game of your college career! Go play for the Saskatchewan Rough Riders asshole...
