Cleaning MAF sensors

I'm trying to clean out the sensors in my MAF-1996 D1...How do I remove the sensor without without braking the MAF-doesn't seem to be a way to remove the part I need to clean. Can I just clean in as is, and spray the sensor with MAF cleaner through the little hole? Will this be as effective?

You can open yours up by drilling out the rivets, or just spray into the hole in the vertical shaft in the midle of the housing. The cleaner will drain out of the bottom of the vertical shaft, into the housing.

Use MAF cleaner. You can use brake cleaner but apparently it could end up being detramental. (or how ever the hell you spell it)
