Clean the Idle Air Control Valve (Stepper motor?) on a DII?

Hi all -
I've been trying to track down some rough start and hesitation issues on my 2000 DII (65k). I know the DI folks clean their stepper motors to solve a lot of problems - it sounds like the DII doesn't have a stepper motor, but a Idle Air Control Valve.

Any use in taking it off and cleaning it with some carb cleaner? I'm going to do the MAF with my trusty can of electronics cleaner tonight.

OK, figured this one out for myself. I took the IACV off and there ain't much to clean. Oh well.
