Changing the small brake lines

They have another video, same guy, for the standard length brake lines where he tells you to drill out the rivets that hold the bracket in place. Not this one.
Looks like he bends the hell out of that inside fender wheel well? Video didn't show him doing that but appears to be the case.
Also how long can you let those brake lines drip like that? Will probably take me a good hour to do that. Just wondering since I know you shouldn't let the MC go too low.
Maybe there is a way to temporarily plug those? Or not bother.
