After I was safely out of the car, if I found myself driving that Chevy turd, I would give it a swift kick to see if I could finish the job.

The Lou!
Good gravy, I would have had to peel the seat fabric out of my butt cheeks just to remove myself from the car.

Looks like the bridge collapsed just in front of the vehicle. The driver had just enough time to turn the wheels hard left and cross the double yellow.... A milli-second or two later and it would have been a rather different outcome.

Scary stuff....

This reminds me of that new show on Discovery, I think, called Inspector America, where a guy travels throughout the U.S. and examines bridges. Most are in dire need of repairs or replacement as they are way past due the originally projected time period they were expected to last for.

I know it's not... but that first photo looks totally chopped.

Yea, the door and the earth below the vehicle looks blurry, like there is movement. It just doesn't look right....like the vehicle weigh so much that the bumper is crumpling....weird.

Hell yeah it's blurry, the person who took the pic was probably running away from that disaster with a camera over his shoulder snapping pics... ;)

That's pretty scary!

I had a friend who went off a bridge on ice. It was a high bridge, they went nose first, straight down and impaled the car on a fir tree. The driver and passenger were buckled in their seats, facing the ground, 30 feet up, with the tree trunk between them. It proved quite the rescue for the responders.
