WOW!

I'd live with just a drive of the car, but I'd love to have unlimited access to that test track!

I was wondering when someone would actually do that. That's amazing.

The car is just what Ettore would have wanted, speed without sacrifice. The Veyron exemplifies comfortable assaults on the laws of physics, complete and utter excess, and pushing our capabilities to the limits.

The track is definately something I'd love to drive in person. It's got a 5 mile straight for crying out loud! That's just a wonderous achievment. Look at the wonderful surroiunding terrain and the heavy banking. The engineering is outstanding from both a mechanical and aesthetic point of view.

I'll bet they have some great road courses there as well.

Sort of makes you wonder how much it cost to build the track, doesn't it? I mean, just what would it take to plant one over here? I wonder who all invested in it? Surely not just VW.

Cheers,

Kennith

I think that track is in Gran Turismo 3. I seem to recall racing a vw bug around that track a few years ago :D

Yep, VW.

However, VW's largest stockholders are the German state of Lower Saxony and, within the last 2 years, Porsche has increased it's ownership of VW from ~18% to ~30%.

Everytime I try to go to the BBC website when I attempt to look at past episodes my pc locks up.
That's because you're going about it the wrong way. Torrents FTW!!

This was a great season of Top Gear. Hamster's return, the roadworks, America special, space shuttle car, the Stig driving tractors and falling out of the seat, Shelby GT 500, and homemade stretched limos. Can't wait for season 10!! :D

hmm, can't mention the actual website, as it's where 'pirates' go according to the Ripoff Industry Assholes of America... But it's on the www and is a final place all gearheads should go to complete their search.

and the stig falling out of the chair was priceless :D. Good thing the door was latched.
