Brake Parts in Canada

Just curious if anyone can recommend where to get brake rotors/pads/seals, etc in Canada. The local NAPA, Autochoice here in Nova Scotia want $600 for just rotors and pads. I've noticed quite a few ebay items for less than half that amount. Suggestions?

Thanks

If you are still looking for "local" sources, do you have any Partsource outlets (www.partsource.ca) there? This is a Canadian Tire spin-off, and they carry more product line than CT. They even have Land Rover listings. I purchased brake pads for my D1 there when I needed some in a rush...

On the other hand, if you are willing to wait, try mailorder from some of the vendors mentioned on these forums.

Thanks to everyone that replied. I suspect that I will get them from some of the vendors on ebay. I don't actually have the Disco yet. I have already purchased it from a US Coast Guard pilot that I fly with here in Nova Scotia. I have finished all of the import stuff, but he is driving it till next week. When I was driving it to the customs office last week, the left rear brake started to make a metal to metal noise under braking. The noise went away when I released the brakes. I had a quick look from under the vehicle, but will get the wheels off next week to get a good look at the rotors and pads.

I suspect that I will probably use the vendors on ebay. The prices seem good and their feedbacks are all good.

Thanks again,

Denis

I'm in Vancouver and couldn't find quality brake parts in Canada at a reasonable price. I ordered fom Atlantic British and it worked out great. In my case I had them shipped to a US address and picked them up. There was no duty and, if I recall correctly, I only paid GST at the boarder. I'm pretty sure AB will laso ship directly if you wish. They have a great selection of brake options to suit varying needs. Good luck.
