Brake MC's and booster alternatives

I'm pondering giving the ABS and hydro boost the boot and going to a conventional vacuum boost setup. Everything works fine, it's just the next evolution to trail-repairable simplicity.

I know the obvious swap is Rover parts, either earlier RRC or Disco. What I am interested in knowing is if anyone has tried an alternative based on a more common, less pricey vehicle, like a Toyota or Chebby.

The MC from the older RRC's looks kind of small if I want to get the full measure out of my nice, big 4 piston vented front brakes with a reasonable pedal effort. My 1970 BMW coupe has very similar brakes to my '92 RRC, and a bigger MC... Come to think of it, I may see how some BMW boosters and MC's fit. I've got a bunch of 'em.

Just get the GM hydraulic brake booster with a Corvette master cylinder.
Check Lane Farka's write-ups on this matter.
