I hear Blundstone's are the Docs for grown-ups.

I have two pairs of 90's UK Docs that still look fantastic with a little polish. Every time I wear them to my parent's house my mother gives me a bunch of crap and reminds me she bought them for me like 15 years ago, and why don't I just get some new shoes already. Moms...

I wear some cabelas gortex wellingtons everyday. They are a flat vibram sole in boars hide which they don't make anymore. Really comfortable. Key is to find a good cobbler, I'm on my 3rd set of vibram soles on them, dude only charges me 40 to put them on and rework them. If I want to church it up, I have a nice pair of Double H ropers similar to these.
can't go wrong with a pair of georgia boots either

I wore a pair of columbia lace up's for years to hunt in but just replaced them today with a set of irish setters but in 1000g thinsulate. I think they are made by red wings...they are really light weight, should be great for deer hunting.

yes, I wear carhart and camo, drink coors light, and dip kodiak. :patriot:

You'll grow up some day. ;)

Good thread.

I have some Rocky's that need to be replaced. 10 eyelet combat boots (currently red laces) with a side zipper I bought at a cop store 9yrs ago. I didn't wear em every day though. They were usually worn all weekend coz the work environments have been more of a sneaker/hiking shoe thing, not a combat boot thing.

Looking to get another pair. They were really comfortable, didn't take long to break em in. Never gave me blisters. I was very happy with them. Wore the tread down flat. They're like ice skates now haha

I'll second the montrail's. I have a set of gtx's with a year and a half on them and they feel good at the end of the day. I wear them from 6:30 in the morning to 6 in the evening and never had any comfort issues.

These kick ass. On trail, great sticky sole for this level boot, but wear quickly. On road should last a long time. Have 2 pair, one to re-sole the other to wear. Also have mid lightweight boot, also great, but ran a little high in size.

I also really dig my Ecco's have two pair,Berlin and Turn.

The best pair of boots I've ever owned is a pair of HH Brown Matterhorn's that I can't find anymore. They are about 15 years old and built like a tank and have been resoled a couple of times now. Mine are brown, but the only version I can find anymore are the black ones that they sell to the military.

Awesome boots! I wore a pair forever in the military, even wore them in survival school in Wa. in Jan/Feb (asshole deep in snow most of the time). I bought some similar Danners in the past but they were not nearly as comfortable as the Matterhorns.
