I'm up grading to Rovertym 3" springs and need taller shoucks.
looking at 7100 for the front but $170 each
lookes like 5150 will fit in back $93 each
I can get close to the same valving
5150 has 255/70
7100 has 275/78

I usually have the back seats out (90% of the time)

Im looking to put them in a 04 DII.
Does any one have a thought on them.
Trying to save some money.

You're not going to like that valving for the front. Way too soft. Also with the 5150's up front you're going to need to build yourself a new tower or modify your towers to fit that piggyback. Who recommended that valving for those springs?

I know about then front.
Is 170/60 valving harder than 255/70 or softer.

Steve's right about the valving, you'll be terribly unhappy with those settings

and 170/60 is softer than 255/70 in both rebound and compression
ideally you want around 360/80 ish for the heavy weight of the D2

I have 7100's on my RRC and originally went with 275/78 valving all around because recommended by Steve at RTE. I found this valving too light esp. for rear (way too "floaty" and undamped) and revalved the rears to 360/80. Much better.
