I recently called MasterPull and asked Alex about putting a Safety Thimble on my XD rope. I was inquiring about the knot and how to tie it. He infomed me that they have their own "winch stop" thimble now and that he'd gladly tie one on for me to just send him the rope. The reason I was interested was that last winter having winched lots of vehicles out of ditches etc I had a hell of a time getting my self locking hook open due to all the salt and corrosion etc.. Anyway after speaking with Alex he told me that they use winches to knot the hooks on and that he thought that I'd have a difficult time doing this myself. Of coarse next I'm thinking "How much?" Better bend over... He told me to send him the rope and then he gave me the price. I couldn't say okay fast enough. Suffice it to say he hooked me up. I won't say how much but for a lot less than purchasing a safety thimble I got my MP winch stop thimble, tied on, and shipped back to me for a lot less. I bought this rope over five years ago mind you. Not only that he put a brand new heat shield on it for me for free! I know a lot of you think that MP is too expensive but for that kind of customer service it is well worth it.

Cheers,

Mike

Do you leave your vehicle in park or nuetral with the e-brake on when pulling someone with your winch?
