Got another email from BFG today..

Production has resumed this week on the BFGoodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM2 in
size LT255/85R16. We apologize for the delay. Your patience is
appreciated.

We also apologize for the error in stating the tire was discontinued. The
stock number for the tire is 30639. Tires should be available for all
distribution centers around the end of April.

Thank you,
Evelyn

He said, she said, he said...

I was checking into 285/75 today but I would rather not go that wide. I guess I can wait.

well what sucks is the lack of the size in E load range. You can pretty much choose a Toyo or the BFG, but no longer the BFG now. I'd say stick to the toyo for this size and E range as many ppl recommend them.

Amen on trac-edges! My favorite all-around tire for light duty work, glad I have a good set on my series truck. Almost no dryrot over the years, and they wear like iron. The 255/85 KMs sat for one year on the disco and cracked all to hell.

And while you guys are sweet-talking sherry and evelyn, can you PLEASE request that they start making the KM2s in a 36x12.50x16 so I can replace in these damn TSLs on my 80 series cruiser. Can't bear to downsize to 315/75s...

Please.

there seems to be a buncha confusion on this, The other day I needed to find a standard KM 255 85 16 and they are cancelled and there is only one left in the wharehouse at BFG in texas. there were two but I scarfed one up :D

the supply manager at BFG said the KM seris is the discontinued version the KM2 is here for a good long time.

those look great by the way!!

Yes, the original KM is discontinued. I just got 5 of the last 33x10.50's. There were zero in the state and had to be ordered from TX.
