Title says it all, the wife and I are in Chicago for a few days, and would like to eat at the better steakhouses in the downtown area.

Other than Gibson's and Rosebud, we've eaten there already. Great service and food at both locations, any other recommendations?

Bistro 110 has one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. They located just across from the Water Tower on Pearson (I think that's the street).

What are exactly are you looking for? American, Brazilian?

There are several outstanding steakhouses with 5 minutes from the mag mile.

west of the city...
Gene & Georgetti's at 500 N Franklin or the Chicago Chop House in River North. If you ever travel to the 'burbs, Toms Steak House on North Avenue in Melrose Park is great, and my choice when I want a damn fine meal.

Thanks to all for your suggestions.

Gibson's, was incredible, I can't agree more.

We ate at the "Grill on the Alley" inside the Westin Hotel on Michigan Ave. I can't say anything negative about this restaurant. It was a wonderful dining experience.

We are going to the Chicago Chop House tonite, heard and read great reviews.

We'll be here through Wednesday. Lunch today consists of a trip to the Billy Goat Tavern. My brother -in-law is a huge Cubs fan, So I need a picture of the "goat" for him. LOL!

Try Blackbird. It has exotic steaks as well. Elk etc. very very nice.

Or try Devon Street Fish house. Also very good.
