I'd recommend Jiffy Lube.

In all seriousness, it really depends on the mechanic, not the shop. I'd be willing to bet that the problems most people have with shops are because of service writers, and not the mechanics. Also, every shop has good mechanics and bad mechanics. The only way to be sure is to work on your own car.

Agreed im just looking for a good list of shops with an excellent reputation. Luke " the Shop " is a perfect example.

Almost New Auto in Winterville, NC. Yes, we all know the name sucks.

The owner's name is Rob.

He doesn't operate a massive or widely owned shop, but I trust him with my vehicles, and that should be enough of an endorsement.

Cheers,

Kennith

In Seattle I have had consistently good service from Lamorna Garage, Car Tender, and Biggs.

I know it's lame to mention it and self serving but I run my own shop here on Mount Desert Island. I have a lot of references and happy customers and operate only by word of mouth advertising. I am also the only person anywhere near here that likes to touch Rovers at all. Any other shop will poke at it with a stick and toss parts at it and see what sticks. :)

Desert Boat Company (yes I used to be a full on boatyard, now that's a side thing. Ha ha)

This list is BS without some reasons why they are recommended

I see a few known butchers on the list, and I suspect the majority of the recs are buddies and not clients.

Sure, I'll play along.

I've spent over $10k with Luke and The Shop over the last seven or eight years. He and his crew have always treated me fairly. I've never been less than 100% satisfied with their service.

The company that I work for uses him often for our company vehicles. The company owners use him to repair their personal vehicles.

Is that satisfactory?
