Some of us from the Houston Land Rover Club and the Texas Rovers Club are heading to Barnwell Mt. the weekend of Oct. 16th. http://www.texasmotorizedtrails.com/ohvareas/barnwell/index.html
I know many of us will be arriving Friday early evening and camping throughout the weekend.
Barnwell Mt. is in Gilmer, TX. It is not that far from people in Arkansas, Louisiana, or Oklahoma.
Sat. the 16th they are holding a trail clearing day. It usually last from 9:00 - 1:00 if you're willing to help out with some loppers, clippers, etc. than your wheeling fee is waived.
Hope some of you can make it.

The fee for wheeling is free but there is still a fee for camping.
Primitive runs 5.00
Electircal runs 12.50

The TX. Rovers and HLRC both have a trail there and they usually add on a couple of more trails to clear. The more people you have helping out the sooner it gets done for play time!

Ask some of the others guy in the OK. club if they would want to convoy with you.

Do you think you will really be able to go?

It would be great to see you.

Yes, yes, yes you should come and camp with us Friday night.
There is nothing like our group camping out with a fire, some "juice", and the stories that are told. :D (Can you imagine 2 Melissas aka RoverChics) LOL
If you are still going to come up Sat. then you need to be there by 9:00a.m. and let them know in the office that you are doing some trail clearing.

Oh, you better show up come hell or high water! :p

Hello OK Melissa,
We are thinking of going as well. However, we are also getting ready to move back to Fort Worth. Sooo, don't know for sure but would really like to go. Have you talked to anyone from OK Rovers in person?

Adrian - you guys will be missed but there will always be another time.

We need to do a camping trip somewhere.

We can't wait till Feb. when Cline Ranch opens back up - we really liked it there.

Are you guys camping at the beach this time?
Beach camping and I DO NOT GET ALONG!

Hope you guys have a safe and fun trip.

Yep, we'll be doing the camping thing on the beach. It's really not that bad. We have a portable shower and everything else you can imagine out there in the middle of nowhere! Sure to impress even the squeamish of campers. Nothing better than falling asleep to the sounds of the waves, and waking up at the crack of dawn for some surf fishing.

We too can't wait till Cline opens up again. We'll be there.

Hope to see ya'll soon.

Barnwell OR Padre Island National Seashore???

Melissa, I had a special margarita recipe developed just for you! It?s my ?check engine? blend. You won?t care about any engine faults after a few drinks.

We?ll have kayaks, huge campfires, great weather and beautiful beaches! How can you pass that up?!?
