Anyone tried this alt?

I can't seem to keep my alternater working. I've had it rebuilt twice in the two years I've ownde it, and it's going out again. I saw this alternater on www.roverconnection.com , AMR4247A Discovery I (96~99) $295 Brand NEW High Output 120 amp (no core charge required) I'm wondering if anyone has bought it and if it's lasted longer than mine have. It's for a '96 Discovery.

I had the same problem, same truck, same year!

I chose the this alt. from Land Auto parts, thay had the best price for a Bosch, which several others highly recommended. They charge an extra $75 for the core up front, but credit it back after you send it to them.

I have not tried the one you are asking about, but I have had this one on my truck for about 7 months now without any issues.
