I was wondering if there are any Disco owners in the Chicago area? The reason I ask is I have found a very nice 2004 Disco and would like to find a mechanic to check it out or if one of you guys would be willing to look at it for me! Just pm with details. Thanks.

Facebook as well. This weekend many are on their way to pipeline for a snow 4x4 extravaganza. I would not consider myself qualified to do a lookover as compared to some others as I am still learning the Rover specifics. If you are in the western suburbs Lindburgh automotive in lake zurich is both a supporter of the club and one if its techs is a member and very knowledgeable. If you are seriously considering buying a rover you should have it looked at by someone who knows all the details of rovers. A normal mechanic could miss most Rover problems you will have. I would suggest you you join the club on facebook and then post a message asking for help. You will get answers, but maybe not this weekend.

This one has never been wrecked, local one owner and from the pics it looks like it is in great shape. I will add them and see if one of the guys there would look at it for me!
Where is the disco located and what are they asking for it. Most people here could tell you from the year, miles and price if its worth it as a starting point. I trust you've done your research and know what you are getting into. So far, my experience has been that people seem to WILDLY overvalue 03-04 Discos in this area because they are a yuppy status symbol.NashvilleDisco said:
It is a 2004 Silver Disco S with 119k miles on it. They are asking $6950 but I have talked the guy down to $6000 even. Yes I have done my research and my friend on here LeeWalden has helped out very much with info on the Discos.
That looks like an decent but not astonishing price assuming its been well maintained and is clean. There are a few members in that general area who might help. We have been having our monthly meetings at a restaurant in Villa Park actually. Since its an S model you don't get most of the problematic "enhancements" that the HSE and SE had. Unless someone went to the trouble of putting them back in when they ordered it. Y
