Thought I'd share a few photos of the 110 I picked up today. It's a 1985 110 V8. All original. The frame is in amazing condition. It'd has been in the possession of an estate for quite a while and thus has been cared for very well.

It turned over 55000 on the clock during my 400 mile road trip back from Scotland. It was a fun adventure. Took a midnight train from London to Edinburgh then another train to Perth where one of the guys who worked at the shop picked me up in his daily driver 90 with a 200 tdi done up in Heritage Green. It was pretty neat. The 110 performed amazingly on the trip and didn't act up at all, which was surprising to me seeing as I took it on a 400 mile journey when it's covered roughly 3000 miles in the last five years.

It's County spec 12 seater. The interior is all original with the exception of the drivers seat (butt part) which was matched as closely as possible with Exmoor off the shelf tweed. The V8 pulls like a dream and has me sold on putting my 4.0 into my other 110 instead of a 200tdi like I did in the 90.

Yes I'm crazy for having bought another one, but this one was just too original to pass up and let anybody else have. It's got some cosmetic negatives, but overall it is classy and a time warp. Driving it back from Scotland was glorious.

Uploaded two pics for viewing pleasure.

Link to a few more.

Thanks, it was a great find.

I put a 200 tdi into my 90 that I daily drive and honestly this 3.5 V8 is much more pleasing to drive. It's queiter and quicker.

Yeah. Things are maybe backwards here. I think it's more a factor of we never got the diesels in the US so we wanted them. Kinda like how people think that the 1.4 t-case is so amazingly awesome. Honestly though, I think the 4.0 out of my old disco I brought over here would go nicely in the other 110 pickup. I am slowly putting the rest of the disco's goodies on it, so I might as well put the engine in there, right?

I can get them no problem. I've been trying to figure out how to get the newer alloys off the WMIKs. A place close to me had 2 and a third that looked like it had been hit with an IED. They said they were the first of those alloys to come thru from the MoD. I'd rate them at better than and cooler than mach 5s. But if you want some send me an email and you can save on shipping if you still know any ppl with an APO at Dover or any place there in NC like Pope or Seymour. Not til late 2011, hopefully later.

And yes, I'm a classifieds whore. I've looked at lots of them. It's always fun.
No 130 for me. I don't have the need for one that big and also need to focus my attention at making the 110 pickup into my new offroader as I slowly and sadly decommission the Disco.
