Thought I'd share a few photos of the 110 I picked up today. It's a 1985 110 V8. All original. The frame is in amazing condition. It'd has been in the possession of an estate for quite a while and thus has been cared for very well.
It turned over 55000 on the clock during my 400 mile road trip back from Scotland. It was a fun adventure. Took a midnight train from London to Edinburgh then another train to Perth where one of the guys who worked at the shop picked me up in his daily driver 90 with a 200 tdi done up in Heritage Green. It was pretty neat. The 110 performed amazingly on the trip and didn't act up at all, which was surprising to me seeing as I took it on a 400 mile journey when it's covered roughly 3000 miles in the last five years.
It's County spec 12 seater. The interior is all original with the exception of the drivers seat (butt part) which was matched as closely as possible with Exmoor off the shelf tweed. The V8 pulls like a dream and has me sold on putting my 4.0 into my other 110 instead of a 200tdi like I did in the 90.
Yes I'm crazy for having bought another one, but this one was just too original to pass up and let anybody else have. It's got some cosmetic negatives, but overall it is classy and a time warp. Driving it back from Scotland was glorious.
