ABS fault- not 3 amigos syndrome!

Hi!

Today i got all kinds of warnings lights when draking in on icy road. like ABS brakes was "hung up" after I let brake padal go, brakes did not disangaed.

When i turned my engine off ABS modulator sinded like an compressor, after an quick fault findig i could localised to fusebox underneath the bonnet nad to R10 connector/fuse/what ever with big ABS symbol on it! a lite knock/tap on it and fault gone!

what actualy happend? what purpose do that relay have? why did ABS continue to work after i turned engine off? thats kind of dangerous!

Do anyone knw what reley (make/model) it is?

Most D2's had a recall on the ABS relay. Maybe yours missed the free replacement. If this is a D1 the recall doesn't apply.

my disco 2 was in for ABS modulator, those small covering plates, but they did not say anything about of ABS relay!

I better tcheck that out!
