Are you just putting in the pool or is there a deck around it? I've helped put up 3 with just the pool and the hardest part is getting the foundation hole dug flat. After that if your measurements are good then it sets up really simply with 4 guys and some liquid refreshment.
As for the deck you might want to put up the pool with friends and then (if you don't have the tools/time/know how) get someone to build a deck.
Oh, and the plumbing for most pools is simple PVC pipe/fittings that can be done by anyone who can read adhesive instructions and can shop at Lowes.

worked doing this for 2 summers in college.
What is the size of the pool? We threw the little 12 footers up in like 2 hours. However, it all depends on how much excavation with the bobcat was needed.
