Did you ever get to the root of the problem on this? I just had this issue same issue with high idle, etc. I had the adaptions reset along with base idle but it now lacks power. My only code is 1171 which is lean condition both banks. Going to get a new MAF and see if that helps per the shop I bring it to on occasion.
It was a burned out ECM replaced with a used working ECM and alarm box or matched set from the Roverguy. Hasn’t had any problems since. Have reset the adaptive values from time to time because of low idle with a ELM327 dongle and the GEMS ECU UTILITY for Land Rover App. works great.

Thanks for the reply. It turns out mine was a faulty aftermarket MAF sensor. I put in an original Lucas unit they I picked up used and it’s running great. I might look into a 4.6 ecm and alarm because I did an engine wrap years ago from the 4.0 to the 4.6. It runs good but I read online that a 4.6 tune is optimal.
