Just thought I'd throw this out there.
I'm contemplating getting rid of my '96 D1 5-speed- it's a salvage title and needs emission work to pass, but it runs like a champ and I have all of the parts for complete restoration. 127k, transmission seems fine. Long story, but front right damage was incurred and State Farm totalled it, even though it was repairable. I bought it back from them and have enjoyed driving it around this past winter on occasion. I love how it handles, but don't have time (or ex-husband) to help work on it anymore. Altai Silver, grey leather. OME HD coils & shocks, QT front & rear protection, front sway disconnect, rear sway removed, OME HD steering dampener. I love this truck with all my heart- it has been so good to me. It was featured in LRM for a training session I took with Bill Burke that was sponsored by my club. This has been used offroad, I was a trail leader for Solihull Society but since I divorced I haven't been rovering as much...it sadly has fallen down the list of priorities right now. I will always be a Rover fan, especially a 5-speed Rover fan. I think I just want to start over.
Any reasonable offer will be considered, however, I will not part it out. I wish to get rid of the whole thing as a package AS IS. I'm in Longmont, CO. PM me for your inquiry, then I can send pics, too. I'm strapped for time but will post a better ad later.
It has the usual suspects: leaky power steering pump, leaks oil but manageable, power seats that work when they want to, both sunroofs off-track so I just leave them shut, driver's side window's motors work, but windows won't go down. Headliner is in good condition, as is the leather. Jump seats. 6-disc Pioneer. Tornado rims that have seen better days. I currently run 235/85/16s, but it does need new tires. The stock brush bar was already parted with. Roof Rack saved her from a large tree branch, so it is slightly bent, but probably fixable. I've got the Hella's in a box.
I will also keep said vehicle if I get any offers to help restore it. I just don't have the tools anymore...
Here she was back in the day
Again, any reasonable offer will be considered. Thanks for looking.
