No switch. It's always on like the refrigerator light.

there's a light in the glovebox? must be tied in with my windshield washer switch, and my rear window switch, and may fix the oil leak I can't identify, the shimmy I've done everything else possible to fix, and the wind noise when I run down the road faster than 20 mph

if your tail lights are on and you open the glovebox the light then and only then does come on.
it is a fail safe mode... ( if land rover had only thought of a few other fail safe modes on a few other circuits)
