Uh-oh

'96, 126K and fluids are all ok.

I was backing into parking spot and I couldn't get it out of reverse for a bit. I literally could not move the stick back in to 1st gear or any gear for that matter. This happened to me one other time about 3 weeks ago. I backed up a little bit more and then I was able to get it out of reverse.

Time for a new clutch, and the rally is only 2 weeks away. I'm dropping it off tomorrow at JC's Rover, but I wanted to see if there was any other culprit to this? The timing couldn't be worse!

Thanks,

Jacquelyne

master or slave cylinder.

Mine was doing the same, I replaced both but I think just the slave cylinder would have done it. I think being 1" away from the catalytic convertor when set up for left hand drive doesn't help these things last very long.

I guess an R380 rebuild is what the cards have in store for me. :(

It really felt like the clutch, but as it turns out my transmission was on it's last leg. Better to happen now I guess rather than DURING the rally. This just sucks...

I'm getting the clutch kit anyway...when in Rome, right? Also, new motor mounts, rear main seal.

I guess the only thing next is rear ARB! (I'm trying to look on the bright side).
