Its official. My 1989 Range Rover is for sale. It was intended to be a project and as many know first hand that became too much for me right now. The Rover is located in Las Vegas. The condition is acceptable for a vehicle of this age and condition. I began in the interior and the carpet, headliner, and floormats are gone. All interior parts if I had them are still there. The vehicle is not running but ran great when taken off of the road. I dont know what it will take to get it running, but I would imagine a new fuel pump, clean fuel system and a clean engine would get it going. All running gear is complete, engine, transmission, transfer case etc. are all in place. The odometer reads 159,169. That is not the correct mileage as I ran the rover for 4 years and the odometer would not work. I estimate 40-50k miles were driven in the four years by me. I dont know how long it has been broken. I tried to take care of it as best I could so it had regular oil changes, all gear oils were regularly changed, and it ran and passed Nevada smog tests each year very well. There is rust in the footwells and along the door sills that will need to be taken care of. The rear body also has rust along the bottom of the tailgate and will need attention. I have no welding experience and as such had not fixed it. But it doesnt look like a horrible fix. The chassis looks perfect. I was very specific about keep it clean and mud free. I have all the original three spoke wheels with spare. Tires were new when installed and have been sitting for three years. Probably needs to be changed but they are in great shape. I have the title, I have original keys, and owners manual along with a repair manual, and cd of the manual. The seats are still present but the fronts are pretty worn out. The rear seats are in quite good shape. I am asking $800 or best offer. I have no way to deliver the vehicle so it will need to be picked up by the purchaser. For any questions please email me at landrovernick@cox.net.
