I've stayed out of this except for the occasional joke, but I have to reply to this one Axel. I did not spend 27 years in the US military to make fence sitters comfortable. Either put up or shut up. If need be the constitution and laws need to be adjusted. Too many have taken advantage of our country's generosity. I'm all for immigration but it has to be for the goal of a better America, homogeneous, and ONE.

Cheers,

Mike

It was just for intertainment.

Yes you can with a fast track to citizenship. I don't know how old you are but I'm guessing your in your thirties and that would exempt you, but you could have earlier ie 20's.

I never challenged what you said gem. I do not have a clue about race fuels, jet fuels, BMET, EGT, ect. I just think you're a wanna be badass. It is somewhat pathetic. THIS is a forum, quit trying to prove to people your tough shit. No one cares. Sure, you know about race fuels, and Possibly how to wheel. Props to you.

You say that now, but when you are trying keeping up with 17-18 year olds you might end up needing it trust me.

would it be a bad idea to put in some 100 octane fuel in my DII?

they have a sunoco near me at a race track that has 100 octane fuel that is street legal.

i wanted to see how peppy it made my ride..

I am sure that the engine management system will make some accomodation that will allow some performance differance to be felt (maybe), you could also, most likely, run something less that 87 octane too. The question you need to ask yourself is why? Why spend extra dollars too make a heavy unaerodynamic TRUCK feel peppy? Get a sports car if you want to go fast... I have been here since 2001 and have seen this question hundreds of times. Making a Disco go fast is like trying to teach a pig how to dance....

I agree to a point, but when I was at Ft Bragg there were quite a few mid thirties and early forties guys who could make a 19 year old puke trying to keep up with him on the PT field...:patriot:

I enter noob level mountain bike races for shits and giggles, and trust me, I know this; I know I was far more agile and recovered faster from both strain as well as sprains when I was half my age.

I cant pass most 17 year olds on the climbs, and thats okay. I still hold my own just fine tho..I got years of skills and experience on them...

what an asshole...

so you gonna build up that truck or ya just here to talk shit?

Now I get it. I need to have a built truck to have experience and know what I'm talking about.
I'd say my trucks are pretty lame according to most peoples standards on this board.
You need to step down a bit and take a look around. You're throwing windmills in the air hoping you'll hit someone. Nothing yet. You don't know NEARLY as much as you think and you are starting to sound like those dumb rednecks I see at the gas station that come up to me on a weekly basis and try to talk shop/off roading with me.
I smile and am thankful I don't have to drive around proving myself wherever I go.

Nah thats not what I said, but if all your experience is in the OEM 'lab' and with stock rigs, and you think running 100 octane makes any sort of sense in a rover(unless its supercharged etc)..

I may call you on being a trail poser

...and I dont mean you Garrett, but it makes me less likely to take advice from said poster, however much general auto experience he has..ford fuckus hood time doesn't count...

Just mentioning it because it is a fast track to citizenship. It is merely an option that many have utilized. There are folks from many many nationalities in the military. Just after 911 the admin changed the rules to better enable folks that serve the nation the oportunity to become US citizens without all the red tape.

Cheers,
