good memory chris. i forgot about those, he could'nt flex it or the tires will eat his fenders. he can't climb a rock with out snapping cv's or a axle.
i just feel sorry for the rear door, how many times can you open it before the hinges bend?.

sorry, lawrence but you should take him to court, he scammed you and is probally laughing every time you call.

I personally don't see how you could just sit back and let this asshole pull that over on you. I'm no lawyer, but there has to be something you can do about that.

well, you DID buy it, most sellers lie, hence the 'PPI' acronym

Why not put some ashcrofts in there for $1150 and add cdl later? it seems like a nice enough truck to keep, and rear maxi drives are $900, so for $2k more you can wheel it, drive it and feel safer; later put a cdl and go at them fenders witha cutting wheel, it can have a happy ending and you dont NEED to sll it then

Trust me - each time I think of that @ss hole, I get a stomach ache...

I spoke with a lawyer - at this point I could take him to small claims court for the mis-representation of the sale, and sue for: Ashcroft axle shafts, gears (frt and rr) + labor... or have him return the monies for the sale of the car, in exchange for the vehicle
I have never been a believer of Karma up until now - I hope he gets what he deserves...

I am on the fence - if someone offers me a reasonable amount for the car I will take it.
If not, I will get CDL and 35'' tires first, Ashcroft fronts next, followed by 4.10's and ARB's - I already have the rear maxxis.
The fenders have already been "sawzalled"

yes the 35s FIRST

you dont NEED 37s, or a larger than 35 tire really to tackle most trails

since the weakest points right now are your CVs/axles, I'd do those first.

Are you 100% sure its got the heavy duty maxi drive(GBR) axels in the rear?

generally they arent used on unlocked riggs, so it would really surprise me if you had HD axles on an open rear diff.

I also think 4.10s are only worth doing if you opt for the HD type, otherwise I would tend to consider gearing higher with 35s

yes get the CDL before the lockers

I don't really respond to many things... Sorry to respond but couldn't help it. For one I am sorry that this happened to you! For two I am sorry to have missed the fun a few years ago at the EE website. Very funny...

I am one for turning the other cheek but that doesn't mean roll over and play dead. I would try and at least get him for misrepresentation and get the mods out of it...then it could be a pretty good truck. That or you could always try and sell the crazy lift to another "Bushwacker" type guy out there, sell the tires to a Jeep guy, and lower it down to a 3" HD OME lift on 31 or 32" BFG M/T's or A/T's deepending on your style...

For sure do the CDL and such.

Also did you verify it has GBR HD axles in the rear?

Just a few cents if it is worth anything...

Sorry Lawrence that you got taken...you guys really make me laugh to think that all you need are hd axles (ok, someone did mention cdl) and you can turn 35's...

I'd just lock it and upgrade the axles, you already have a bunch of parts on it. Why not use them?

Thanks to everyone for the feedback.
I have decided to keep the rig and get 35" MTR's (just arrived today), Ashcrofts, GBR 4.11's, ARB's, and an '04 CDL transfer case.
The truck will be going into Cerrone's hopefully in the next 2 weeks for its surgery.

F@CK that B@ST@RD for mis-representation!
