I currently own an '01 Discovery SE7 and I will be lifting it soon. I have been into Jeeps for years and know the ins and outs of doing work myself. Reading many of the previous threads I find a good deal of useful information but I need advice on where to buy a good lift kit. It seems a good deal of you have chosen the OME lift but are they soft, medium, or heavy duty? I am also not privy to the metric tire sizes as I run 35's on my Jeep I don't want the disco that extreme. Any advice would be good.

Hi Green
I also have the 2001 DII SE7
If yours is like mine you have airbags in the back
Mine is set up with OME HD springs in the front and 3" aluminum spacers under the airbags in the back. Running 265/75/16 tires = about 32"

Yes Steve at Rovertym is great. Go to their website at www.rovertym.com and check it out. Click on contact and write Steve. He religously checks and replies to his email in the AM EST. They are great to work with and highly recommended.

Cheers,

I agree, the Rovertym guys are great. Steve always answers email and always makes things right if there is a problem. I ordered a bunch of stuff from them and picked it up in person, nice guys and their products are done right. Everything I bought from them appears well built and good enough to last through many, many miles of off roading.

I have the same vehicle, 2001 SE7, switched over from a 1992 Cherokee last year. I switched to OME heavy coil springs front and back with OME shocks. The ride with the coil springs seems less harsh than the air springs. I put on 235/85R16 Goodrich tires and an ARB bumper. No problems, everything fits and rides great. Lots of ground clearance and no drive train or steering problems. I bought everything from 4x4 Connection, they have good prices as well. The EE website is great for showing you what is involved.
