I put OME MD on my old 1996 D1 and I eventually upgraded to OME HD.

Right out of the gate I put OME HD on my 2004 D2 and I now have a Safari Gard front bumper with winch, steel sliders, and I'm about to put a Greg Davis bumper out back.

I don't know if there is any truth to TF MD = OME HD but if others have experience that says so then I will defer. All I'm saying is that you want to go with OME HD or equivalent.

My daily driver D2 came with med OME's and it bounces and sways way too much for my liking.

Try different shocks, I run regular bilstien and my d1 seems fine with no swaybars

Op, just remember to check the minimum static weight listed when looking at springs to get proper ride quality and height

I would recommend HD springs based on your needs. I went with OME medium springs primarily because of the deal I got from 4wheelonline.com and so far have no problems with it. Besides my Disco is my DD also. I've towed a trailer with my family inside the rig and surprisingly ride was not hard and there was still plenty of suspension travel.

There is. I looked up the spring rates (I don't have them at work) and it checks out.

Thanks for all the info. I decided on the tf medium duty +2". I put them in today and drive around 50 miles since install. I could not be happier with the way the truck feels. It is exactly the ride I expected and was looking for, and the stance looks great. I got the parts from Justin at lucky 8 and can't speak highly enough about the service I received.

Put a set of poly bushings in it . I like the feel you get from the softer bushings . Next truck I build I'm putting lighter springs in . I don't recall the part # but I have a pretty stiff OME set in my truck now .
