METROPOLITAN POLICE DISCOVERY SERIES II - LONDON
Here are a few photos of Series 2 Discos now in service with the Metropolitan Police
in London.
These come with all of the electronics - ACE, HDC, ETC, etc
They are used as emergency response Traffic Patrol vehicles and carry extra
kit over and above the traffic cars. They are used to tow broken down
lorries and coaches as well as smashed up cars after collisions.
Used also for teaching the officers how to get the best from the vehicles, which includes
an on-road familiarisation, off-road driving and all forms of recovery
training.
