What's the cure for fast flashers from corroded sockets under aftermarket bumper?

I have fast flasher from the extra bulbs that were stuffed under the bumper and they finally shorted out. I can replace the socket with one that works but its not my preference. I'd like a normal flasher with no extra bulbs to act up later and retain the fast blink warning if one of my 3 remaining bulbs is out. Any Ideas or can you point me to threads that discuss this? Thanks

finally found the post about LED flasher relays. I got the adjustable one and I think it goes right into the fuse box. the post I read linked to something else, not sure if it was even the right one but it also required a pigtail extension, so extra work and extra wires in the way. The dial adjustable one makes sense to me and I ordered LEDs too. Seems like LED might make the plastic bits and pieces last longer than the hot incandescent, plus they're brighter, bette for reverse, and safer flasher, tail visibility. Didn't buy headlights, small bulbs costed plenty. Can someone tell me why does the sock relay say it runs 3 21w, 1 5w and 1 1.2w? front, side, two rear, what the fifth bulb?

You will need to solder in a 50Watt 6ohm resister to the left and right indicators ( turn signals) to stop the hyperflash strobelight effect of the LED bulbs. That’s what I had to do.

I used a Tridon EP26, LED compatible, flasher relay. Had to remove the case and file the edge of the pcb a bit to make it fit but it's been working great for 6 months now.

I came across a relay sold as a land rover replacement and it has a knob on top but I don't know what it does. I thought it would fit into the relay slot on my fuse box but it was too large so I made the pigtails like was done for a different relay used for LED fast flash. I found this in a post from the projects and service guides topic...I actually did not have leds but a short from a bad extra bulb socket dangling under my steel bumper. I now have LEDS and I have no fast flashers but also I have no fast flasher if a bulb goes out. I thought the knob on top of the relay would adjust flasher speed and perhaps up the flasher if a bub went out but it appears not to do anything at all. No changes when its turned; the relay I ordered was this one https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61t5UdFNKDL._SL1500_.jpg
