Just replaced another of those dime sized springs on the driver (NAS)
front door. (fun)
Afterwards:
Central locking works fine on all five doors with fob or pulling/pushing door latch/post.
Key no longer central locks...
Checked microswitch with multimeter, showed continuity in appropriate key...

May well be my next purchase, pending results of newest (ProLine) stops combined
with my somewhat "spirited" driving style in a fully loaded vehicle...

Attachment shows "normal" bump-stop from front end, the mangled bottom one
is from rear & on "Diff" side. Subsequently found thread about using additional plate to
bridge/reinforce...
Here's a D1 version of a Garmin install. I reinforced the back of the over-head console and used "hot" wire on HomeLink unit, which is switched. No problems with aquisition with built-in antenna, but wouldn't recommend placement for frequent highway/road use when driving solo. On the other hand...
Just another example, based on that EE walk-through and a buddy of mine's experience, with certain differences regarding both ... (for a D1)
In my case, I set things up for 2 mounting options :
? Rear Engle 45 mount (left seat needs to be folded down - D1)
? Engle positioned behind driver...
Hmmm... Texas? I've been running AC here a few times this last month in CA, have
you? The drain tubes for the AC system, underneath & on sides of bell housing do get clogged with crud (D1)- happened to me. Condensation backs up and weeps out ...
I followed a buddy of mine's example and used stuff from Kragen Auto -
available in tan and black. It took 2 rolls do do the floor plus custom side
trim (14 bucks per roll). It's not "loop" construction, but so far is reasonably
durable and easy to shape to surfaces. Hope this helps...
