Lot No. 102 - Misc Dico parts

BONUS: Also included is a brand new (unopened) bottle of Lubro-Moly Motor Clean. I believe you add this to the motor and run just before an oil change. It's super handy for a Land Rover as these motors do kinda run on the durty side.

    Tire selection help

Okay, no one has reccomended these, but no one has said anything back about them either. Would these be a decent choise??? Toyo Open Country A/T http://toyotires.com/tire/pattern/open-country-at I would normally get something that everyone loves, but I have a significant financial...

    Tire selection help

Does a narrower tyre decrease the propensity of the car to "tramline" or wander on the highway. I've always been told a narrower tire will track straighter, but not sure if that's true. Just wondering.

    Tire selection help

Actually, on TireRack's web site, I'm only seeing the BFG T/A KO in that 235/85 size. Is that the one y'all were talking about?? I also see the Michelin LTX AT2. Looks like a nice tire but, not as aggressive looking in the tread block design. Anyone else have good things to report on thier...

    Tire selection help

I've got a 2" OME lift on my DII. I am in desperate need to replace the crappy Wrangler HP's on here. Now that it's lifted, I really want to bigger (taller) tire to fill out the wheel wells, as well as I want something that can grab and claw better off-road. I was just wondering why a 235...

Want to hardwire my GPS... Power comes from Mini-USB...

I think that may be the ticket. I will check the specs on my GPS Unit to see if it matches the specs of the Garmin Nuvi. I have a much less expensive unit, but really love this thing... It's a ViaMichelin. It was well rated on the forums I read and was inexpensive at about $160 (that was...

Want to hardwire my GPS... Power comes from Mini-USB...

I have a rather inexpensive, but *VERY* good GPS unit I keep in the Disco. I usually power it via the cigarette lighter (12v) adapter and the end that plugs into the GPS unit itself is simply a Mini-USB plug. I really want to use the lone cigarette lighter for cell phone charger and other...

to fix several issues with my 2003 Land Rover Discovery II (4.6)... Including a blown head gasket, 2 faulty O2 sensors, and possible clogged catalytic converter (all related, of course). Car runs and drives fine, but won't pass emissions. So, the good news is that I've decided to keep my...

Handyman Special: 2003 Land Rover DII 4.6...

It's exciting to see that Land Rover people think so highly of their marque (note sarcasm). I actually really love the size and look of the vehicle. I just need something more reliable and less costly to maintain. I'm a business owner and that takes up about 90% of my time. I don't want to...

Disconnect that f*ing emissions fan thing??

Cars normally throw a code if the cat is gone... But, thats only because it needs to see a delta between the 1st O2 sensor and the second one. There are ways to "trick" it so it won't throw a code. I'll dissconnect the SAI thingy until I can get it working properly. Thanks for the info!

Handyman Special: 2003 Land Rover DII 4.6...

I am probably going to trade this in, and only getting wholesale auction price for it, which is what I'll probably do, but if I can get a little more out of it and avoid dealing with it, I'll sell it to someone who wants it I'll just pay off the balance with cash (definately upside down in it)...

Disconnect that f*ing emissions fan thing??

Thank you to the last two of you who gave me an honest answer and some useful information. I will check into that. A lot of newer cars have SAI and they aren't loud enough the even notice. This thing is LOUD!!!! Sounds like a hair dryer is on and in the car with me. So, thinking something...

Disconnect that f*ing emissions fan thing??

Everytime I start my Rover from cold I have to listen to that god awful LOUDER than a jet aircraft fan for a minute. I'm tired of it and this rolling piece of junk won't pass emissions anyways, so where is it and how do I disconnect it. From what I understand, it's something for emissions (and...
