I am replacing the oil pump gears on '04 DII.
I reassembled and installed the front cover before noticing that the old gear set has a slight taper on the outer gear.
Does anyone know if the gear should be installed with the tapered edge toward the engine front cover or toward the plate with the...
Hey Tim,
Sounds like it might be the xyz (gear selector) switch gone bad....when you put the truck in 'R' does the dash indicator say 'R'? I replaced the switch on my DII a couple of weeks ago and the symptoms started with no Reverse.

Bleeder Plug
LR changed the location of this plug sometime between 99 and 03. The 99s had it molded into the hose and tend to fail. The newer ones are located in the plastic T to the left of the radiator.

Nwp
I've had a NWP rack for over a year. No rust and built out of the same stock as SD. Both sunroofs are functional and it's been heavily loaded with pelicans, etc dozens of times.
Fuse loc
Cigar lighter and EC interior rearview mirror both use Fuse #15 / 20amp located in the passanger compartment fusebox under the steering wheel.
I am wondering if anyone is using the 2up tentcot on a D2 SD roofrack.
Does it fit on the front and/or back part of the rack? Pictures? Does it fold up tight enough to keep it on the rack when closed?
Thanks,

I attempted to do it without removing the bumper but ended up completly removing the bumper. Still not more then a couple hour job and the bumper goes on quicker once you;ve done it a few times. You might as well install the tow hooks (see EE/ curt manuf) while your at it.
Have fun...
D2 sway bar
>>If it is a driver's side connection that I have that is undamaged, you are welcome to it. I will try to check tomorrow.
Cameron, If you have one you don't need it would be great. I think both sides may actually be identical.

D2 'end link'
I think the threads are beyond hope. I had to cut a slot in the end where the torx bit fits because the torx end was messed up bad.
Removing the sway bar is an option but I'd prefer to keep it for now.
Does anyone know of a source (other then dealer) for a drivers side 'end...
I messed up the threads on the sway bar while installing coils/shocks this weekend. I'm wondering if I can buy just the one side of the sway bar or is the whole thing replaced as a single piece? A part number and advice on where to purchase would also be appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve
