    p0171 fault code

Walter - I just did this as well with CRC. Unplugged the battery for about 10 minutes, sprayed the crap out of the MAF, let it dry for a few minutes, plugged it back in and the SES light went out. Wooohoooo! :D  I'll likely drive it around a lot the next few days (it's not my daily...

Thanks Robbie. Yeah, I think the stethoscope (sp?) trick might be in order to better narrow it down.

So, how'd the spraying go? That do the trick? I've got the same code (but for both sides being too lean). I'm going to try this tomorrow and see what happens. :)

    Alternator

So this "howling/growling" thing... Mine's been doing that (something under the hood has....) for a couple months now. It started quite faintly and more recently has becoming almost embarassing when stopped and in neutral. :( I'm not positive it's the ALT, but putting my head under the hood...

get better mileage and I got a question

You can also calculate the circumference difference from your stock tires to your current ones. That % can be adjusted for MPG too. My former vehicle actually travelled 6-7% further than the odo indicated. :D

The other day while in Palm Springs I saw "LUVMILF" on a Lexus SUV. I took a pic while on the road, but it didn't zoom in close enough to read. I have "GO4X4LO" on my LR. :D

    Power seat wiring

Before I blow big bucks, anyone have a set of wires as described in the above post? (or know where I can find them for a reasonable price?) I now have my seats, I now have my switches. I have cloth in the front and leather in the back. I just don't have the wires yet. :D Wire me up!! :D

AMEN! I had AOL for a while (dial-up) - about stabbed my eyeballs out in frustration - absolutely HATED it. Sucked sucked sucked! Switched to DSL - that was awesome, but for some reason became, shall we say, not as reliable as it should be. Not bad, but not great. Moved to Cable - freeekin'...

    grenaded rear diff on Saturday..

Bummer, Marc! I remember when you first got your LR while on the XOC board. Sweet ride you've got. I'm "johnnyx/areuin/NCCXJohn/etc" from the Xterra world. I just traded in my Xterra for a white DII. I had to make the jump! :D No more IFS!....unfortunately (or fortunately!), the...

rover solutions vs Safari Gard bumpers

So...is there even a "ballpark" number? Like between $200 and $2000 for example? I'm also considering replacing my "chin-dragging" front end with something more functional but knowing a rough price is usually part of any smart person's decision making. <dr evil voice>Throw me a...

Kyle - yep I was tempted to get out the drill and go bigger, but that's even more hassle than it's worth in my case. I'll throw those new studs/nuts in there and keep my fingers crossed.
