So this "howling/growling" thing... Mine's been doing that (something under the hood has....) for a couple months now. It started quite faintly and more recently has becoming almost embarassing when stopped and in neutral. :( I'm not positive it's the ALT, but putting my head under the hood...

You can also calculate the circumference difference from your stock tires to your current ones. That % can be adjusted for MPG too. My former vehicle actually travelled 6-7% further than the odo indicated. :D

Kyle - yep I was tempted to get out the drill and go bigger, but that's even more hassle than it's worth in my case. I'll throw those new studs/nuts in there and keep my fingers crossed.

Exhaust manifold nuts - $6.70 ea. Yikes! But then, a plastic trim section for the rain gutter...only $13.00. Go figure...

Anyone care to guess how much EACH of those nuts are? Why don't I spare you the suspense.... SIX dollars and SEVENTY cents - EACH. :eek: Yep - nearly $28.00 for 4 nuts.... Basically...bend over... Now I gotta wait for everything to cool off and head out to the garage. :)
