Would an ARB Bumper for a Classic be close enough to fit on a P38

P38A bars are available here: http://hardrange.com/catalog/1 But I do like this modified D2 ARB Sahara bar:

100% Proof that liners are moving at 'normal' operating temps & causing the tapping!

Re: 100% Proof that liners are moving at 'normal' operating temps & causing the tapping! The pic I posted of a slipped liner is from a 3.9. I do have a spare early 4.6 block here (minus main bearing caps - I bought it for the crankshaft) so I could strip it down and heat it up. The block was...

100% Proof that liners are moving at 'normal' operating temps & causing the tapping!

Re: 100% Proof that liners are moving at 'normal' operating temps & causing the tapping! A dead bug. :) A comment was made to me that is it possible that turbodave's engine had been overheated by the previous owner and would this have had an effect on the liners?

100% Proof that liners are moving at 'normal' operating temps & causing the tapping!

Re: 100% Proof that liners are moving at 'normal' operating temps & causing the tapping! Whether it is only an issue on later engines or also the older 3.9 blocks used in the Discovery 1 and the RR Classic, I don't know. When I bought my P38A in 2002, it had 117,000km on the odometer and I...

    flame trap

The best way to clean the mesh is by soaking it in a caustic soda (Sodium Hydroxide) solution (lye in some countries). We can buy it in the supermarket but in some countries you may need to buy it as drain cleaner. See before and after pix of mine at...

    RRC Snorkel ????

I just checked the site which shows the fitting of the Mantec snorkel. I didn't remove the bonnet (hood) nor did I remove the decker panel to cut the hole in it. It's wasn't necessary. Ron

    removing a radio from a 01 p38

Ken, It is unlikely that the mounting system changed. Land Rover wouldn't have spent money on new plastic moulds for the console area. The trick is to find out how to remove the bezel around the radio. Let us (or John Brabyn) know how you got it out. If you can take pix to send to John...

Towing Air (helper) springs for a 91RRC?

Where are you located (country?). In Australia, these are readily available and are called PolyAir springs. I understand the samethings are made in the USA by Firestone. See http://www.ride-rite.com/ProductInfo.htm They work very well and are a relatively common fitment down here. Ron
