I have a IIa with the zenith carb. Everytime I corner she starts missing real bad and nearly dies but eventually takes back off. Ive checked the float level but cant seem to find the cause. Thinking of junking the zenith for a weber unless a rebuild may cure it. Any thoughts? Thanks
Just use your hands to pull the side grill. It is very hard to remove but will pop out. Pulling up and out on the bottom worked for me. Skin a knuckle before you start...
Not sure if a TSB but for sure a common failure on the 05's. I had the same problems as you and had the replacement done. I had posted the codes thown for this at one time but i dont recall them off hand. Hopefully you are still under warrenty.
The seloniod locks up in them and sends a fault through the trans. The selonoid cannot be serviced, a whole new diff will need to be installed.This causes the special programs and the air suspension to become unresponsive. You have to shut down and restart to reset the system. A big pain till...
I replaced the input seal on mine about 2 years ago and havent added any fluid since. I got the kit thru British Pacific. I replaced it with the box on but if i did it again i would pull the box i think.
LR Peoria Il has a great service dept, we live 1 1/2 hours away and they come and pick up the LR3 and leave a loaner no matter how small the job. I have never taken the ol Disco in though.
Search here or Rovers North about the paper clip method of diagnosing and resetting the light. It is pretty easy to do. Just to warn you my odb plug was upside down on the vehicle so take this into consideration if you cant get it to work.
My 99 D1 just did that 2 days ago for the first time, didnt matter how slow i pumped it would spit it out the top. Refilled 2 days later with no trouble. I havent had time to look at it yet. If you figure it out, let us know.
I finally got my anti lock light off by the paperclip in 5 and 15 method. Problem was my OBD plug must have been installed upside down... Took about 2 Goose Island IPA's before i figured that one out.
