    Fuel Pressure 97 D1

Recently a P1179 code came up. I checked the fuel pressure and am getting 37 psi with key on and 31 psi at idle. When I disconnect the vacuum line on the fuel pressure regulator it goes back up to 37 psi. After shutting off the pressure is 37 psi and holds there. I replaced the fuel pump earlier...

    Rrc Lwb?

Were there any RRC LWB versions that had coil springs on all four corners from the factory even if it was an overseas option that anybody knows about? I know that they can be converted from air bags to coils. I am just curious if any were ever offered from the factory that way. If they were...

    97 D1 not starting

A little late with what went wrong. It ended up being the multi function unit that went from an o2 sensor shorting.

Discovery 1 dash light not going on

You might take the switch apart and find the brass or copper contact plates. I found little bumps that had formed. I took a Dremel and sanded down the bumps then polished the plates. The switch is no longer intermittent. The hardest part will be putting the switch back together correctly.

    97 D1 not starting

I pulled the pump, hooked it up to a battery and it works. When plugged back in I am not getting power to pump. No fuses are blown. I am not sure which relay or computer might be bad. I have a 97 pre-advanced evaps 4.0. where the fuel pump relay is combined with the main relay in the relay...

    97 D1 not starting

I checked the voltage again with a different multimeter. I received voltage for a short period around 12-15 Volts. So I think it might be the pump. Question is, would this cause the Check Engine light not to come on before turning the key to crank over?

    97 D1 not starting

D1 will not start. Check Engine light does not come on when the key is turned on, I do not hear the normal hum from the fuel pump when it primes. When I have someone try to start it I don't receive voltage to the pump. The battery and starter are good, the engine cranks over fine. There are...

    CkPS maybe?

I know that not starting could be a failed CkPS, I just wasn't sure if there are any symptoms before it goes out or if it just dies without warning.

    CkPS maybe?

I will check the belt. It is cheaper and easier to replace than a CkPS. Just in case down the road, what are typical signs of a CkPS failing or does it just go without warning.

    CkPS maybe?

On my 97 D1 I have noticed a light squealing noise. This seems to correspond with the tachometer. The tachometer will sit below 500rpm or whatever it is at before start up. While underway the tachometer acts like it is dead, then the squealing starts and goes away then the needle will rise on...

    Diff?

I installed a Detroit, the gear pattern looks to be right on. My question is how easily should the diff turn inside the third member sitting outside of the axle housing? Should it spin for a while after you spin it or should it stop spinning pretty soon? When I put a torque wrench to the...

    in need of headlampswitch!

I found that if you take the switch apart, there are contact points that have a buildup that if you grind them down then polish the surface it fixes this problem.
