    Anyone have an LR4?

No problems. Camera was eventually fixed - the list of things they removed from the car to replace the wiring was impressive - seats, parts of dash, console, etc. Other than the original teething issues which were fixed, it's been a great truck.

    Anyone have an LR4?

Keyless entry failed and locked my 1 year old in the car alone on a 90 degree day. LRNA said it was impossible but went ahead and paid to repaint the doorjamb the LEO mutilated. Front left camera failed the first week of ownership. Still hasn't been repaired as the dealer can't get parts...

    Anyone have an LR4?

Vacuum pump oil extractors are available for less than $100. I haven't done an oil change, but I will defintiely do it myself when the time comes.

    Anyone have an LR4?

Well, it is a Land Rover... Global locking doesn't work from the keyfob (but there is a software fix for it), and one of the 5 video cameras goes in and out. I'm assuming a loose connection. My phone won't synch with bluetooth, but it's an older blackberry, so a new phone is on order. My...

Buying it. Got 2.9% financing for 60 months from LRNA and 8% off MSRP.

    Anyone have an LR4?

Yes, diff locking is part of the Heavy Duty package. You can get it separately from the bigger Lux packages but it is included in Lux Plus.

    Anyone have an LR4?

I got Lux Plus which is essentially all the options minus the rear seat dvds (includes the Heavy Duty package.) I still need to get some roof rails and cross bars. Looks wise - it's a lot like an LR3 with the 2 major changes being the front grill and the dash layout.

    Anyone have an LR4?

Traded in my 02 Disco on an LR4 last week. Had the 02 since new. It will be missed. Here's a link. I haven't gotten past break-in yet so still getting used to it. Motor seems torquey even at low revs and ride is very smooth. Gets a big thumbs up from my one year old! Brakes are light years...

    tire recommendations

I'm also a fan of the General ATs. Good in sand, mud, snow, and on the road. Oh, and they're cheap!

    towing capacity and changing springs

Pulling it with my 02 Disco SE purchased new in 02 - no modifications to drivetrain or suspension. Pulls fine on gravel. I have all-terrain tires.

    towing capacity and changing springs

I have an Evolution E3 - has the open spot for the atv and weighs most of 5K loaded up. I added a brake controller, weight distributing hitch with sway control, and the littel round fish eye mirrors to my 02 Disco and have been towing that way for 3 seasons. We have pulled it all over Texas...

Three amigos - Dealer says time for new ABS ECU. What do you think?

So I broke down and had the dealer replace the ABS ECU. The lights are gone, and it seems like the braking is quicker and more sure-footed than it was when new. My wife agrees. Maybe the revised part works better... So, the lights are off, the truck stops, and I'm out $802.

Three amigos - Dealer says time for new ABS ECU. What do you think?

Thanks for the thoughts guys. That's the direction I'm leaning - bring it home, check as many connections as possible, and take to an indie. I was hoping they would tell me that I was getting a wheel sensor code and knock the work out quick. Their lack of specifics about what codes are being...

Three amigos - Dealer says time for new ABS ECU. What do you think?

The truck is a 2002 with 39K miles that we bought new. First time we got the codes a few years ago they replaced front left wheel sensor. This time they say it is throwing erratic codes and the ABS ECU needs to be replaced for $800. Three questions: First, what would cause an ABS ECU to go...

Dealer's had my truck for a month. Scam?? ('04 Disco)

You should also consider filing a police report. I wouldn't let them fix the damage - they have a vested interest in doing it the cheapest way possible.

    D2 Dog guard Install

I had that guard installed by the dealer in my 02. It required that a Land Rover hardware kit be installed in the truck. They cut into the plastic trim and created two lower mounting points and then two upper mounting points. When the dog guard is installed with that Land Rover mounting kit you...
