99 D2 ventilation system with rear a/c both systems run fine and really crank out the cool. i do not use automatic mode, just "lo" temp and "high" fan. recently, system will stop blowing for a few minutes and then restart. no other symptoms.....any advice?

I recently replaced my cv boot and clamps. Having some problems with grease leakage at the wide end. I cannot get the strap tight. Does anyone know if there is a special tool to snug the strap? I got the kit from Atlantic British. The strap has the fold-down tabs on it. Thanks
