Update: It was the tensionor pulley. While I was there replaced the bearings in all 3. Nice and quiet now. Only cost me my time as I had a bunch of bearings lying around.

Thanks. Was planning on putting on new belts. No harm in pulling off each pulley and checking each one. Also have an alternator I plan on rebuilding I can swap out too.

Doesn’t sound like a rod knock and seems to be most prevalent on top near the fuel rail. Increase a bit during acceleration. Any ideas what this might be. Not even sure when. It started or how long it’s been there but paranoid about any noise. Any opinions appreciated...

Thanks. Yes 2005 LR3 HSE. Going to try swapping the switch as some trim piece clips broken planned on replacing and got one cheap. Does it say what connector to check at. I am looking at the wiring diagrams but does not show connector pinout, description of wired etc. is there anywhere this...

Just curious what the property battery is? stocking with a flooded battery and not AGM. Manual calls for an H9, parts store lookup says H7, and I see other posts about an H8. H9 is about twice the price as the others where I am.
