Yup, I've heard of that happening. Thieves just ram a spike into the bottom of the tank and let Mr. Gravity do the work directly into a fuel can.

I'm still driving it, but the inspection sticker expires in the next couple weeks, and it's going to need more work than I'm interested in putting into it. Plus, I need a backup minivan to cover all the traveling my family has been doing to kayak races. SE7 model with rear air, just under 180K...
