My father used to repair his cars, and when I was little I helped him. Once he had noise in a rear wheel bearing on his Plymouth, he lifted it up by the rear axle, started engine and spun rear wheels to confirm noise. Seeing that front wheels resting on the ground did not turn, I was surprised...
In order to explain why this tank is better here I try to explain:
Genuine plastic tank has inside
dividing walls with rectangular passages, with perfect vertices. Expansion under pressure produces only in a few months, from each vertex, a fissure that reaches external surface, beginning to...
D2 plastic tank spare part is the start of a nightmare. I suggest to buy alu tank (for instance Allisport) or to be sure that new one is made by Mahle. If not, you will soon have cracks since genuine spare part is not good.

Seals do work against this cylindric rectified surface. Problem is not the easy-to-see groove, but a microscopic edge produced by previous seal's lip. With just a 600 grit sandpaper by turning the piece you can "kill" that edge and there are no surprises later. This procedure is a must every...
D2 should not have rear axle height much more than front axle. These are not "kinetic design" cars. Then rear hoses will not have trouble to drain water.

I found that rear seat backs do have similar pads as front seat backs. Then I toke pads and springs from dismantled rear seats and adapted them to driver's seat. Used small wire hooks from back seats. 5 minute test gave an excellent result.
Long trip test still pending, but I´m confident it will...

Cylinder is in horizontal position. When open bleed nipple whitout hose or with a hose to lower position, air will come in to upper side of cylinder.
The correct way is with a hose pointing to upper position . When fluid is...

I imported this complete rubber diaphragm in order to use it when my original pad deaths, but after years I discovered that imported pads are Classic RR pads, they are useless. I sewed a rubber strap replacing the torn one, but after couple of days from happyness, all was...
Hi, there is MF1 that cuts alternator charge to the battery.
The best way to destroy an alternator is by cutting connections when running. Alternator has coils that have an inductive load. When you cut connection, current they generate cannot find an outlet except through "puncturing" one of...
I did this 20 years ago in a D1. Connection between core and pipes was too difficult. I was forced to take pipes out, to connect them and after that to fix them in their supports. In order to do this i toke whole dashboard out. Many people do get hoses and modify connectors in order to bypasss...
Dear DaryU, dont worry, there are here modern alignment racks, with receipts from all makes and models, but when after professional service I discovered things didnt go fine, checked this data receipts with the machine operator and the secret was, data is not corresponding with our old measure...
There is no functional change. The only change is to guide electrical connections outside from printed circuit board because it has contact troubles.
This "shuttle valve" is specially useful when braking and its function is to determine what kind of treatment should ABS system choose:
When you...
