Now that's not nice...Remember this is a technical discussion forum...either you can help or not....maybe I should not ask any more "technical" questions in the "technical discussions" forum.
I digress, found the part number ordered and installed, it's not in Microcat, the parts books, or Rovers...
Anyone had to replace the switch on top of the transfer case that indicates that the tc is in neutral. It will cause an audible alarm to be heard...mine is not working and I can't seem to find a part number for it
thanks

ok, so I drive a 97 d90 which of course a locking center diff. My wife drives a '00 DII(it has the nipple for locking the diff) We live in Seattle and this year we had a couple of crazy storms...snow and so on...well she jumped the curbs a couple of times, no damage except for some rash on the...
X2 on the fluid only approach. Sometimes changing the filter can really stir up the crud that accumulates in the valve bodies and torque converter and you don't want that. iirc LR originally called for a filter change every 30k...now I believe it's changed at 30k only and fluid only after...
Is it possible to change out 4.0 main bearings with the block in the vehicle...bottom shells come off with the caps, i was thinking the upper shells would just rotate out around the journal and come off...anyone ever tried.
thanks
So I had just changed out the drivers side door lock motor and was buttoning up the thing when I noticed this laying in the bottom of the door. no grease on it and n dust I used compressed air earlier to blow out some of those snap-sacs and wondering if this may have been laying in the door...
Ok, so I live in Seattle also and my wifes '00 DII flooded the back of the rig everytime it rained. Water always poured out of the roof ac vents. After listening to my wife complain for two years I pulled the headliner and waited. Well what I found was nothing to do with the drain hoses or the...
So the wsm says I gotta use a Shell Retinax LX to pack the lip of the front crank seal. That can't be the only thing that works right, any thoughts on what to use that I can buy off the shelf at my local auto parts store.
thanks

So the wifes '00 DII with 73k on it now needs head gaskets....just wondering if anyone has an opinion on wether aftermarket gaskets, clough and wood, napa or ??? are better, worse or should I stick with LR OEM all the way.
thanks
jeff
If you have the rave cd, it is very detailed on removal of headliner. There are one or two hidden screws up under some blanks or a light iirc. Go slow and try not to bend too much, get a helper too. Also,k on my '00 DII you have to pull the door seal gasket away from the pillars to release the...
Ok so my wifes 00 DII with Michelin Synchrone 255/55/18's are totally worthless up hear in Seattle(we just go 2" and are geting more tonight) Poor stopping and lots of spinning, often it's hard to just turn a corner. After reading several posts, and spending a couple hours on tire racks...
So we had a bit of snow up here yesterday and my wife jumped our '00 DII onto and over a curb. Vehicle now pulls to one side. My question is: can I take this down to Goodyear for an alignment, or does it have to go to the dealer. Since only the track rod is adjustable seems like anyone could but...
i cut and pasted this from one of Chris' posts. Make sure the battery is good
