Beat the Dead Horse again 4.0 to a 4.6

The difference will be compensated at the maf and O2 sensors. The computer just does its job and if it couldnt handle the change then you would have a check engine light. BTW ive done a 100+ of these builds with bigger cams and never neding anything to get it to run correctly. the computer just...

    My Lift Kit Review

You havnt even broken them in yet! If you want a softer ride go with ome HD springs. The coils are much smaller and you get a 2" lift. The RTE ones will hold up much better over time but the OME ones are good quality just not as robust. Stay away from the TF junk. BTW break in on a spring takes...

    My Lift Kit Review

I use poly on Annabelle but the One bushing i keep rubber is radius rod to frame point. Thats where you want flex and rubber is the way to go. Poly just cant do that without cracking. the rest of it all holds up since its not movable points.

Coolant leak from back hose coolant tank

The hose goes straight down out of the tank, you have it bent back over the cruise control.

Coolant leak from back hose coolant tank

You cracked the tank. Your hose is routed wrong and bending the line backwards. On top of that get rid of all those extra hose clamps, 4 is a little overkill.

    New to me 2002 Disco

I would fix the ace system. If your in so cal i have an ace parts car. ACE cars are incredibly smooth off road as the ram acts like an extra damper in the suspension. night and day difference over standard suspension. On road you have a car that can out corner most others and even carry a 4...

    P1451 Code

So you probably have the wrong computer in the car. I just got a disco with a bad ecm. I swapped one from one of my parts cars only to find this fault. After looking the one does not have the dmtl valve so there is no connection there, I saw a post at some point a long time ago about this but...

    I'm stumped

Have you pulled the line from the purge valve to the intake and checked to see if it is clogged. It can get carbon built up in it and cause no flow.

2004 D2 - Center Brake Light Fell off

Clean the surfaces of any residue. Remove the rear cover off the housing and use JB weld epoxy. Dont put the cover on for a day so the epoxy has good time to set and when you put the cover on dont tighten it or it will put tension on the housing.

A frame upper ball joint fulcrum removal tips

I used a sawzall and cut the assembly through the bolts before. I have also stuck the ball joint under the 20ton press and still had to use the oxy acetaline torch to get her to start moving. They can be really stuck in there.

    Traction Control Problems

Sounds like you are on the right track. Note that if you replaced Just the sensor and not the hub the air gap between the sensor and the reluctor could be incorrect. I always replace the sensor with the hub. Doing the shuttle valve repair should have nothing to do with wheel speed sensor signal...

Valve lash is set and after a year im back at slamming gears in the mud again. worth every penny for that timing set. You will be more than happy when you see it.

    Shocks to long

Problem is that it was done when it was a new car and back then we didnt have the resources we have now, also attension to details when mixing and matching parts together. You should always look at up travel when doing an out of the box build. You need to know how much compression you have and...

    D1 motor mount replacement

Pull the fan shroud loose, start with the broken one and if both broken do the drivers side first. rock the engine up on one side with a block of wood under the oil pan. Do one at a time. by rocking up one side of the engine there is more movement on that side before the transmission hits the...

    Shocks to long

Just finished up repairing this and thought I would share. Both spring perches were braking off and cracked the frame. Stock shock towers and extended fox shocks with the bottom through bolt plate the shocks only had a couple inches of up travel before being at full compression. Mind you this is...

Slow drain on battery 1996 D1 SD

Not much that is common to do that. First thing that comes to mind is aftermarket LEDs anywhere in the car. tail lights, dome lamps... secondly is the alternator. Check to see if the center shaft of the alternator is magnetized. after those 2 things connect an DVOM on the battery and start...
