So my wife's 12' supercharged RRS is making a slight knocking/rattle sound that seems to be coming from the front of the engine. It doesn't have that exhaust leak ticking noise but more of a rattle/knocking sound. I tried searching but didn't find anything pertaining to this.

I have a 07' LR3 HSE with the 4.4L V8 and it has been very reliable. How does the 5.0L V8 compare to it in terms of reliability? Possible going to go look at a 2011 LR4 but not sure if that engine is going to be as reliable as the 4.4L V8. Thoughts?

A local car dealer has a 10' LR4 for sale. How would it compare to our 07' LR3 HSE? I really like our 07'. Would there a big difference in the 10' LR4? I know the engine is a 5.0L vs the 4.4L ours has. Are there more problems with that motor? I might go look at it just to see it in person.

I know with our DII the owners manual stated a 5w-40 oil could be used. Is it alright to use a 5w-40 oil in a LR3 or should I stick with a 5w-30 oil?

We bought a 07' LR3 HSE and it doesn't have a jack in it. The manual shows a scissor jack. Our DII had a bottle jack. Is the factory scissor jack any good or is a bottle jack the way to go?

While I was changing the belts out on our 07' the wrench slipped when I was tightening the fan and I broke a corner off of one of the fan blades. The outer ring of the fan that ties all of the blades together is fine. Can I continue to drive it this way or will it cause problems?

I purchased a transmission filter intending to change the filter and fluid. Has anyone done this using the plastic pan filter? I've read some write-ups using a metal replacement pan but nothing using the plastic one. Sounds like the plastic one is harder to install.

I'm looking at the Goodyear Dura Tracs and noticed they have a 111S rating which is up to 112 mph. The Cooper Zeon LTZ's I'm also looking at have a 111H rating which is up to 130 mph. Not that I would ever go that fast but will the lower speed rating of the Goodyear cause any handling...

Is there a way besides the dealer to program the BCM for towing. I was informed once I added the hitch and wiring harness I would need to have the BCM reprogrammed so the rear park sensors and air springs would be re-calibrated for towing.

I have a 07' LR3 HSE and came across some Pentosin ATF1 fluid that states it's compatible with Land Rovers. Is the Lifeguard 6 the fluid to use or is the Pentosin okay as well?
