Does anyone remember what the old color codes were for the early RTE springs? I have a couple of old low mileage pairs and have no idea what the spring rates are. I know the number of stripes indicate the lift(e.g. 2 stripes 2", 3 stripes 3"), but no clue as to the spring rate per color of...
Pack the entire inner bearing into the hub and slide it on to the stub. DON'T bang it into the stub, just push. They are a snug fit, but once the the race and bearing is centered, something not easily accomplished with uneven finger pressure, they'll slide right on. No need to sand...:ack:
If you had you surely wouldn't have suggested them. :ack: They aren't much better than the anemic factory 6" subs.
A better choice would be the JVC CS-DA1. MUCH better response than the Blau or Kenwood but at half the size(5" depth) it's a small step below the Basslink. It's relatively new...
I agree as well, but you are still left with a shitty 2 pinion carrier, along with a host of other things that will need to be addressed eventually. Just seems to me like a lot of expense for a slight improvement in acceleration when it can be better applied elsewhere...
Why mess with the only decent piece of driveline in the truck? I'd replace that flimsy 2 pinion carrier first, especially if you are going up a tire size. Then regear. In my experience, 4.11's are better with 33's and up, but look into 3.91's if you can find them. The stock 4.0, LT230 with...
Same as in this pic: http://www.rallylights.com/hella/hella%20images/microff.jpg
Pair of individual lights and covers only. No harness or switch kit that typically come with these sets.
$65 shipped.
I have 3 pairs of light mounts for 6" height Garvin Wilderness racks. 2 Pairs are the clamp on style and 1 is the bolt through.
$35/pair shipped for the clamp on's
$25/pair shipped for the bolt through
These are actually the stockers off my Land Cruiser. Figured I'd give it a shot here as they would probably be a nice upsize on a D2 with 18 inch wheels. Perhaps even a nice set of DD tires to put on those 18" Hurricanes you can't unload? ;) They measure 31"x10.5" as compared to the shitty...
They have a bit of surface rust and could use new hardware thanks to living in the northeast, but a little sanding and Rustoleum will fix that...or not, it's just a shock mount. Fits D1, D90, and RRC for running long travel shocks.
$75/pr...shipped
I have 2 genuine bumper endcaps, left and right, for a D1. Brand new, still in the sealed plastic bag. $75 for both or sold individually for $40 per endcap shipped. Whatever is left after shipping I'll donate to DWEB. :D
I have 5 Cooper Discoverer ST/C sitting in the garage mounted on dished alloys with 60-70% tread left. Spare has 0 miles. Great tires. Wear like iron. Say $250 for all 5? $500 for wheels and tires. Let me know if you are interested and I'll shoot some pics for you.
