I can set the cruise control, however it will allow the vehicle to drop quite a lot of speed before it tries to "grab" and maintain that speed, rather than the speed I set it at. It acts just like it is weak, or being lazy, any help?

Whats the possibility of my transfer case temperature sensor going bad? Is this a common problem, would bad fluid, or maybe even water ruin the sensor? Anyway to test and see if the sensor is bad?
